The final straw came when the village elder, who had warned against angering the forest, was found hanging from the Wailing Oak, face frozen in terror. The remaining villagers fled, abandoning Hollow’s End to the forest. And so it became the stuff of nightmares.
Over time, the village was swallowed by the woods, leaving behind only ruins and the chilling legend of Black Hollow.
